- No cookies, no ads, no accounts, no tracking across sites.

- If you play the Daily Challenge, your name, country and scores go on a public leaderboard.
What is stored on your device
Disc Golf Rush uses no cookies. It saves a few settings in your browser's local storage so they're still there next time.
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
dgrush.name | The player name you typed for the Daily Challenge |
dgrush.cc | The country you picked |
dgrush.mode | Casual or Normal |
dgrush.coach | Coach on or off |
dgrush.caddy | Whether the caddy picks your disc |
dgrush.course, dgrush.set | The practice course and holes you last picked |
dgrush.best.… | Your best practice round on each course and set of holes |
dgrush.learn | Which coach tips you have already learned, so they stop repeating |
dgrush.muted | Whether you turned the sound off |
dgrush.seen | For the anonymous statistics: the day, week and month this browser was last counted, and the day of your first visit (see below) |
dgrush.dev | A random ID, made the first time you open the game. It keeps your Daily Challenge entries apart from other players with the same name. It is sent with your Daily Challenge rounds and is never shown to anyone. |
Except for dgrush.dev, these never leave your device. This storage is needed for features you use yourself, so it doesn't require consent. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Visiting the site
The site is served from discgolfrush.com, hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The game's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Like any web host, Cloudflare (and Google for the fonts) processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this data to identify or track you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Anonymous statistics
To see how the game is played and what to improve, the game counts a few things itself. There's no outside analytics service, no cookies and no ID. The counts wait in your browser and are sent to our server on Cloudflare as one small batch when you leave or switch tabs. The server only adds them to daily totals in our database (Cloudflare D1, stored in the EU). It doesn't store your IP address, and nothing it keeps can be linked to you or to your other visits. It counts:
- visits, with the device type (touch or desktop), browser and system (only these names), game version, your country (Cloudflare works it out from your IP address, which isn't kept) and the site that brought you here (only its name, like “google” or “reddit”);
- throws: practice or Daily Challenge, which course, which disc, and touch, keyboard or controller; how many throws a visit had (at least 1, 5, 20 or 50);
- holes: started, finished, the hole number and the result (ace, birdie, par, bogey…), penalties (OB or water), finished rounds with the score to par, and new best rounds;
- how many players are playing right now: while you play, the game sends a short “still playing” signal once a minute, with nothing in it;
- time in the game while you are actually playing, and whether a visit reached 1, 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes;
- which parts of the game are opened (Practice, Daily Challenge, the bag, terrain view, the coach's “Use this line”), and the difficulty picked;
- game errors (the error message only), so we can fix bugs;
- how many different players there are each day, week and month, and how many come back. For this your browser remembers in
dgrush.seenwhen it was last counted.
Your name and the details of your throws are never sent with these counts. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal, nothing is counted. This is based on our legitimate interest in knowing how the game is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Daily Challenge
Nothing below happens unless you play the Daily Challenge.
What is sent. When you start a round, the game sends your player name, country and the random ID from dgrush.dev. After each hole it sends a recording of your throws (disc, aim, angle and when you pressed), so the server can replay the hole and check the score.
What is stored. In a database on Cloudflare (Cloudflare D1, stored in the EU): your name, country, random ID, scores per hole, how many rounds you played that day and when, the recordings of your throws, and how you played (keyboard, touch screen or controller), which we only use for statistics. To limit abuse, we also store a scrambled code made from your IP address and the date. It can't be turned back into your address and changes every day.
What others see. The public leaderboard shows your name, country, place and scores for that day. Your random ID and IP address are never shown.
Names. Names with offensive words are replaced by “Player”, and we may remove entries that break the rules.
How long. Daily results are kept as the history of the challenge. You can ask us to remove your results at any time (see below).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the Daily Challenge data linked to your name. Contact details will be added here when the site goes live. What's on your device you can delete yourself. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman).
Changes
If the game starts handling data differently, for example by adding accounts, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top.
