Disc golf courses
Six courses, each with its own character: four full 18-hole courses (a Finnish forest and lakeside park, an open, windy Kansas prairie farm, a New England farm in autumn and an old Michigan golf course turned disc golf course) and two 9-hole courses (a tropical Cambodian island and a hilly neighbourhood park).
KoivurantaPar 62 · 18 holes of Finnish lakeside park and forest at golden hour: meadows, groves, ponds and the lake shore.
Prairie WindPar 60 · Open Kansas prairie farm inspired by the Flint Hills: constant wind, OB lines and an island green.
Hollow Maple FarmPar 60 · 18 holes on a New England farm in autumn: a Christmas tree plantation on the hill, maple woods, three ponds and a lake, old stone walls, an island green and a farm bridge.
Fairhaven Old CoursePar 65 · A closed 1930s golf course in Michigan, now a disc golf course: open mown fairways and the old greens, sand bunkers, a creek and two ponds, big oaks in play and pine woods round the edge. An island green ringed with hay bales, a hole down the old driving range, a double green, a long par 5 and a raised tee over the mill pond, finishing below the clubhouse terrace.
Koh SeilaPar 30 · Nine holes on a Cambodian island: a fishing village of stilt houses, a long white beach with turquoise water, a lighthouse point and a jetty green, then up through jungle ruins and down to the beach bar.
Hillside ParkPar 27 · Nine short holes in a hilly neighbourhood park: a pond, a gravel strip by the road, the playground, a birch path, a steep slope down to the basket on the open hill, the corner of the running track, then a corner of dry pine wood. The school, a sports field and a court are next door.
Every hole has trees, water, out-of-bounds lines and slopes that really play: the disc hits branches, skips on fairways and rolls downhill. The Daily Challenge plays the 18-hole courses in turn, a week each.
